Genesis10 is currently seeking an Azure Database Engineer with our financial services client in their New York, NY location. This is a 6 month + contract and hybrid remote position. This position requires being onsite 2-3 days per week minimum. Summary:
- Seeking a Azure Database Engineer.
Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines and data storage solutions on the Azure platform.
- This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize data solutions to support business operations.
- Design, deploy, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services.
- Develop and implement data storage solutions on Azure, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Data Lake Storage.
- Strong automation skills with proficiency in Terraform and scripting languages like PowerShell.
- Collaborate with data platform engineers and analysts to design and implement data models and analysis tools.
- Monitor and optimize data processing and storage systems to ensure performance and Scalability.
- Work with stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
- Data Visualization skills: ability to develop dashboards or reports using tools like Power BI enhances insights delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines and storage solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information
- Technology.
- 5+ years of experience working with Azure data services, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure
- Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.
- Strong knowledge of data engineering best practices and data modeling techniques.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, and/or C#.
- Leverage deep knowledge across Microsoft services (Azure, Entra ID, Intune, Defender for
- Cloud, Azure DevOps) to support and optimize cloud environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
