As an Azure Solution Architect - Data & AI, you will play a crucial role in qualifying and driving Azure Data & AI opportunities through the sales cycle, gathering requirements, and designing cutting-edge data and analytics solutions. Your expertise will be instrumental in building proposals, cost estimates, and Statements of Work (SOW) for our clients. Collaboration with our delivery and project management teams is a key aspect of this role, ensuring seamless execution of projects from pre-sales to delivery. Additionally, you will provide thought leadership throughout the project lifecycle, contributing to the success and innovation of our solutions. Responsibilities:
  • Qualify Azure Data & AI opportunities and drive solutioning through the entire sales cycle
  • Gather detailed requirements from clients and design innovative data and analytics solutions leveraging Azure technologies
  • Develop comprehensive multi-option solutions to be included in proposals, cost estimates, and Statements of Work
  • Engage with C-level executives to present solutions and address technical inquiries
  • Collaborate closely with sellers to ensure a successful sales process
  • Collaborate closely with delivery and project management teams to ensure successful solution implementation and project execution
  • Provide technical guidance, support, and thought leadership throughout the project lifecycle
  • Stay current with the latest Azure Data & AI technologies and best practices
  • Contribute to the development of best practices and methodologies within the organization
  • Contribute to thought leadership within and outside the organization
Requirements:
  • BS/BA in IT, Data Science, related major or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience designing and architecting innovative data and analytics solutions for clients leveraging Azure technologies
  • Experience implementing end-to-end projects with an expertise in Azure Data & AI technologies.
  • Experience in Data Science, including LLM, Indexing, and Natural Language Processing with the ability to drive solutions through complex sales cycles
  • Expertise in Fabric, including Azure Data Factory Pipelines and Data Flow Gen 2
  • Proficiency in SQL Server / Azure SQL DBs
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including report development, data modeling, and administration
  • Proficiency in Azure AI Studio or Open AI Studio
  • Strong programming skills in T-SQL, Python, and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)
  • Experience with SSIS for on-premises solutions
  • Experience with Databricks
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD Data Pipelines in Azure DevOps
  • Travel for Armanino business and clients, as needed
Preferred skills and experience:
  • Knowledge of Data Lake and One Lake Architecture
  • Familiarity with Azure Synapse Analytics
  • Microsoft certifications, such as, Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300), Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600), or Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203)
