**Basic Job Function:**
The Maison Kayser Back Server connects the kitchen and the caf and ensures guest needs are met. The Back Server ensures the cleanliness of their section and restaurant area, delivers food and drink orders to guests and communicates effectively with kitchen and caf staff to provide an optimal dining experience.
**Tasks/Responsibilities:**
Provide courteous and helpful customer service; ensure guests feel welcome and have an enjoyable dining experience Provide knowledgeable and thoughtful service to all guests Deliver food and drink orders from the kitchen to guests quickly and efficiently Communicate food orders to kitchen, paying attention to priorities and special requests such as food allergies as needed Remain up to date on all menu items including seasonal items; must be able to recognize each menu items Understand the set-up of the restaurant and the flow of service Prepare dining room for guests by cleaning tables, setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, utensils, etc. Maintain table setting; remove courses as completed, replenish utensils, refill water glasses, clean up spills and messes, etc. Comply with and fully understand all NYC & Maison Kayser food safety and sanitation guidelines Regular attendance and a consistent commitment to availability Adhere to all company policies and procedures including company dress code; maintain a neat and well-groomed appearance Additional duties/projects as directed by Store Management
**Minimum Requirements:**

Ability to stand and move about for extended periods of time; walk, kneel, reach, bend, etc. to handle products Flexible work availability to include nights, weekends and holidays, according to the needs of the business **Education and Experience:**
High school Diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum 1-year busser/runner experience in a high-volume environment Passion for the service industry; knowledge of F&B industry Previous exposure to high-pressure situations and a demonstrated ability to communicate needs and progress/status during rush periods
