**Job Description:**

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Background Investigator** to join our team! In this role you will provide Background Investigations Support (Investigative coverage for all locations within the United States and territories).

**What You'll Be Doing:**

+ Comply with the current Federal Investigative Standards (FIS) in delivery of Tier 5 initial investigations (T5s) and periodic reinvestigations (T5-Rs).

+ Employ the appropriate number of scopers, field assigners, dedicated and shared field investigators, and case reviewers to ensure compliance with Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act (IRPTA) mandates for initial investigations (T5) and periodic reinvestigations (T5-Rs).

+ Conduct and document Special Topic Investigations (STIs), as requested by the Government.

+ Perform all investigations in accordance with the Federal Investigative Standards and address the standards not met as identified through the Customer Quality Assurance Program (QAP) and as documented in the Quality Audit Report Tracker (QART).

+ Successful completion of National Training Standards (NTS) compliant training. The Contractor shall retain all training-related information for the lifecycle of the contract. This includes course descriptions, rosters (to include course title and investigator name), dates of training, results, transcripts (to include remedial training), and assessment tools. Retained records shall be available for a Government audit in accordance with the Federal Investigative Standards (FIS).

+ Upon request, conduct Tier 1 (T-1) (Homeland Security Presidential Directive (HSPD-12) for credentialing purposes, Tier 3 (T-3) (previously known as Secret-level) background investigations and Tier 3 periodic reinvestigations (T3-Rs).

+ As part of the monthly report, report to the Government on how many new background investigation cases are initiated and how many are completed for the designated reporting period, by case type (T-1, T-3, T-3R, T-5, T-5R, STI).

**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**

+ Active TS with SCI eligibility and ability to successfully complete a polygraph examination.

+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field

+ 7 - 10 years of relevant work experience.

+ Successful completion of National Training Standards (NTS) compliant training.

**Minimum Clearance Required to Start:**

Top Secret
