Job Summary: The Backup Administrator will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and availability of our company's data through effective backup and recovery solutions. The candidate shall be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of backup systems, as well as managing data replication and disaster recovery strategies. The ideal candidate must have a strong technical background in backup technologies and a proven track record of implementing and managing backup solutions in a corporate environment. Salary Range: $60,000 - $64,000 Responsibilities and Duties: The Backup and Recovery Specialist role encompasses designing, implementing, and maintaining backup and recovery solutions to uphold data integrity and availability. This includes monitoring backup jobs and system performance, and promptly troubleshooting any arising issues. Responsibilities extend to developing and maintaining backup policies, procedures, and documentation, as well as conducting regular testing of backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure reliability. Collaborating with other IT teams ensures seamless integration of backup systems with other infrastructure components. Furthermore, evaluating and recommending new backup technologies and solutions to meet evolving business needs is crucial. Managing data replication and offsite backup processes supports disaster recovery efforts. Providing technical support and assistance to end-users and IT staff on backup-related matters is also part of the role. Close collaboration with vendors to address hardware issues and replacements ensures smooth operations. Qualifications and Skills: Must be willing to work remotely with one day on-site per week.
