Employment Type: Full Time FLSA Status: Exempt Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 Location: CMH Airport Office, Columbus OH Position Description Summary: Jacobsen Daniels is seeking a skilled, experienced Baggage Handling System Project Manager to manage BHS projects at John Glenn Columbus International Airport. The candidate will use expert judgement to ensure that all industry standards and customer needs are fulfilled, such as TSA requirements, airline operational expectations and IATA recommended practices and resolutions. The successful candidate must be knowledgeable in current BHS best practices with the ability to effectively utilize and implement these skills. Requirements Professional Requirements:
- Experienced in conveyors, processing, automation and sorting systems, preferably in connection with Airport Baggage Handling Systems, as well as in the managing of interfacing between building and system.
- Excellent written, oral, communications, and people management skills, able to manage communication between the airport stakeholders (airlines, airport, designers, and main contractor).
- Experienced in change order management, TSA PGDS and requirements.
- Able to ensure that the project is successfully installed, commissioned, and meets customer expectations at system turnover.
- Provide subject matter technical oversight on multi-site/phase construction projects for baggage handling systems and their infrastructure.
- Ability to manage and mentor a site management team as needed.
- Manage compliance with TSA planning guidelines, design standards, and any deviation and handling thereof.
- Candidate should possess firm knowledge in multiple business software programs such as MS Office suite products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Bluebeam, Prolog, PlanGrid, and Procore.
- Ability to perform in a management capacity.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Identify follow on work opportunities with existing clients and seek opportunities to expand business opportunities while continuing to provide excellent customer service to existing clients.
Education & Specialized Qualifications:
- A four-year college degree and at least 7 years' of experience with airport baggage handling systems or demonstrated equivalency experience/education.
- Must be able to pass a TSA background check and obtain an airport access badge.
- Valid US driver's license required.
