Job Title: Baker Summary Prepares bread, rolls, muffins, bagels, etc according to recipe by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Checks production schedule to determine variety and quantity of goods to bake.
- Measures and mixes ingredients to form dough or batter by hand or using electric mixer.
- Cuts dough into uniform portions with knife or divider.
- Molds dough into loaves or desired shapes.
- Places pans of dough to rise.
- Inserts pans of raised dough in oven to bake.
- Bakes items according to company recipes.
- Adjusts drafts or thermostatic controls to regulate oven temperature.
- Removes baked goods from oven and places goods on cooling rack.
- Keeps work area and equipment clean at all times.
- Works closely with the Director of the Bakery and the bakery staff to ensure the best quality products for guest satisfaction.
- Helps bring new and innovative ideas to the attention of management to help the bakery grow and succeed.
