**Bakery Assistant**

Food and Beverage BOH Brainerd, Minnesota Come work for an iconic resort where quality is priority. Madden's is currently seeking a Bakery Assistant who is a passionate, hardworking individual that is interested in mastering and learning the skill of baking. Previous experience is not required, but is desired you will be supported with training and mentorship to success.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Perform baking tasks as assigned by Pastry Chef

* Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks to ensure all baking supplies are prepared for the following day.

* Effectively utilizes measuring instruments, commercial-grade mixers and ovens.

* Assists the Pastry Chef in mixing, scooping and all baking procedures involved with creating Maddens quality baked goods.

* Follow recipes portion sizes and quality standards. Ensure all recipes and orders are executed at the highest possible standards of accuracy and in a timely manner.

* On occasion may need to deliver baked items to resort outlets

* Regular and reliable attendance.

* Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

Competencies:

* Previous commercial baking experience helpful, but will train the right person

* Detail oriented. Can perform to high quality standards.

* Ability to follow Maddens Core Values to include able to work with team members across the resort.

Physical Demands:

* Regularly stands for extended periods, generally the majority of the shift. . Regularly lifts up to 25pounds. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

* Shifts can begin as early as 4am but always by 6am. Shifts generally are eight hours.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences

* Basic math skills: ability to understand, calculate and follow recipe measurements and proportions.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of attention to detail.

* Ability to follow procedures and take directions, work as a team player.

* Ability to work flexible hours, including early morning, weekends, and holidays.

Education/Experience:

* Previous baking experience helpful.

* High School Diploma or GED preferred
