Summary: The Old Town School of Folk Music is seeking a part-time Ballet Dance Instructor to teach classes for both children and adults at our Lincoln Square and Lincoln Park locations.Schedule: Classes will typically be scheduled Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday mornings and early afternoons. Specific class times will be confirmed upon instructor assignment.Location: Lincoln Square and ArmitageResponsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to various skill levels, ensuring safe and supportive environments for all participants.
- Monitor and assess individual students progress, providing personalized feedback and adjustments to improve technique and performance.
Qualifications:
- Professional training in ballet with a recognized certification
- Minimum two years of teaching experience preferred
- Experience teaching ballet to both children and adults preferred
- Strong understanding of ballet technique and pedagogy
- Ability to teach beginners through advanced levels required
- Passion for working with students of all ages
- Knowledge of diverse dance styles and techniques a plus
- Ability to teach online a plus
- Must be able to work weekends
