The Bank Operations Specialist I interacts with various bank personnel while serving as a resource agent for all deposit operational areas, and assisting in the verification of processes and applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in the performance of the daily workflow of the 4sight item/image capture process
- Repair rejects, balance capture runs and prepare the output information for report distribution
- Assist in the performance of the 4sight data entry process of items to include reject repair, balance capture items and MICR correction of cash letters by electronic transmission.
- Import/export files for Check21 Services, perform commingle split, maintain equipment in good working order, and perform any paper or electronic item adjustments, as required
- Assist with collection items and adjustments
- Assist in preparing for annual disaster recovery test; and communicate to the Items Processing Manager items requiring attention to include supplies and equipment
- Maintains detailed records on all work responsibilities as required
- Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Emphasis is placed on speed and accuracy and to meet established deadlines.

Education and Experience- High school diploma or its equivalent is required, and
- Two years of related experience required; banking operations and/or customer service experience preferred.
- Minimum of one year item processing, proof or lockbox experience preferred.
- 10-key by touch required and understanding of basic accounting principles necessary
- MS Office programs
