Job Type Full-time Description A Teller is the first point of contact with the customer and must strive for customer service excellence. A Teller also directs the customer to other banking services and bank personnel through referrals and cross selling. Under the close supervision of the Head Teller and other branch management staff, performs a variety of teller and related functions to provide customer services in conformance with established policy and operating procedures. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Processes a variety of customer transactions, including savings deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments and installments.
- Handles all customer transactions with discretion and confidentiality.
- Provide accurate information to customers about account balances, products, and services.
- Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, addressing their inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
- Promote and cross-sell banking products and services to meet customers' financial needs.
- Maintain cash drawers and ensure accurate balancing of transactions at the end of each shift.
- Adhere to banking policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and security measures.
- Assist in handling and resolving customer complaints or discrepancies.
- Participates in company and community activities.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in finance or related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in a finance or customer service role, preferably in banking or retail.
- Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using banking software and technology.
- Integrity and strong ethics in handling confidential customer information.
- Willingness to adapt to changing technology and industry trends.
