Summary of Position
This position is responsible for managing the banking center and providing strong leadership for the staff. Reports to the Executive VP/Chief Lending Officer. Responsible for building relationships with current and prospective customers to include presenting and selling all bank products and services while ensuring compliance with all bank policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise all activities of the banking center
- Responsible for developing new customer relationships
- Primary lender for the banking center
- Responsible for growing loans and deposits
- Responsible for the budget of the banking center
- Responsible for the financial performance of the banking center
- Supervise staff and provide training and coaching where needed
- Hire and terminate staff according to needs in concert with HR and bank senior management
- Be the face of the bank in the community to include being active with local chambers of commerce and economic development groups
- Be an active member of at least once local civic club
- Handle customer complaints as needed
- Market new and existing products and services introduced by the bank
- Ensure compliance with all bank policies and procedures as determined by the board of directors and senior management of the bank.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable banking laws and regulations
- Ensure that high quality customer service standards are a priority for the entire banking center staff
- Maintain asset quality of banking center within the standards set by the bank.
Education and Experience Requirements:
College degree and at least ten years of progressive commercial lending experience. Previous supervisory responsibility is preferred. Formal credit training is a plus. Must have a good knowledge and understanding of banking policies, procedures and regulations. Requires management experience in the area of sales, goal setting, decision-making, planning, interviewing, training, communicating, and staff development.
