We represent secured creditors, banks, lenders, investors and foreclosure trustees, in both transactional, litigation and bankruptcy matters. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Represent clients with respect to assigned matters including but not limited to referrals relating to replevin, routine collections litigation and demand letters
- Appear in court and argue motions as necessary to completion of both routine and contested foreclosure, unlawful detainer, title curative, collection, replevin and bankruptcy matters
- Draft, review and file legal pleadings, motions, discovery, Rule 11/settlement agreements, etc.
- Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status
- Manage case load of routine and contested matters on behalf of secured creditors
- Utilize case management system and client sites to properly update and document the status of each account
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 0-5 years creditor rights experience
- Knowledge of Texas creditors rights law
- Previous experience with mortgage default/collections legal work, replevin, unlawful detainer, foreclosure mediations, and foreclosure litigation involving residential and commercial properties is preferred
- Admitted to Practice in Texas
- Admitted to Practice in other states is a plus
- Experience in drafting pleadings, making court appearances, and case law research
- Must be able to proficiently handle appearances, all aspects of creditor representation with minimal or no supervision
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent communication and organization abilities
- A portable book of business is a plus
