JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the intake and processing of bankruptcy information from the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts, Clients, Attorneys, and/or Trustees. Ensure that documents and information are either processed appropriately or routed to the correct Bankruptcy team for prompt handling using internal systems. Code applicable mainframe and workflow systems upon the initiation and conclusion of bankruptcy cases. Review and process accounts/cases through reports or queues in Workflow systems. Conduct research when needed or upon the direction of Management and/or Bankruptcy Analysts. Thoroughly notate case and account statuses systematically to ensure all internal parties understand case dispositions. Understand the importance of risk mitigation practices and follows all internal guidelines to ensure the bankruptcy laws are adhered to.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Research bankruptcy case information utilizing U.S. Bankruptcy Court web sites and other third party resources.
2. Communicate in verbal or written communication with attorneys and Bankruptcy Trustees as directed.
3. Collect and compile information, data, and forms for management of bankrupt accounts.
4. Accurately update applicable loan systems with correct bankruptcy coding to ensure all bankruptcy legislation is adhered to.
5. Maintain positive working relationships between peers and managers as well as clients, court personnel, attorneys, trustees, and other internal partners.
6. Meet/exceed all performance metrics established by Bankruptcy and Default Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. High School diploma or equivalent
2. Strong communications and analytical skills
3. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products
4. Ability to comprehend legal terms
5. Ability to support and participate in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Prior experience working in a banking or corporate office environment
2. Previous exposure to bankruptcy terms or documents
