As our reputation for excellence has grown, so has our events schedule. We are looking for the right people to assist us with events ranging from business breakfasts to late night parties. Our pay range is $17 - $19 based on verifiable experience. Located five miles from downtown Fort Worth, River Crest is Fort Worth's oldest and most storied country club. Additionally, full time employees receive Paid Time Off (PTO).Our 401(k) plan is offered to full time and all qualifying part time employees.All employees enjoy Chef-inspired meals in our Staff Dining Room.JOB SUMMARYThe Banquet Server is responsible for set-up and clean-up of banquet rooms as well as Serve banquet events.QUALIFICATIONS & WORK REQUIREMENTS
- Good organizational, interpersonal, communications and Member relations skills are required.
- Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks and tolerating frequent interruptions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is required.
- Must present a neat and clean personal appearance.
- Must have timely, reliable attendance.
- Must have a professional, courteous & respectful attitude toward members, guests, vendors, co-workers and supervisors.
- A high school education or equivalent is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / FUNCTIONS / TASKS
- Performs related banquet set-up tasks.
- Provides immediate attention to all guests upon seating them.
- Takes beverage orders and serves food in specified station.
- Pours and refills wine, coffee, water and other beverages served with and after the meal.
- Clears soiled dishes as needed.
- Cleans all assigned work areas in kitchen and banquet areas.
- Advises supervisor of any member or guest complaints as soon as they occur.
- Assists in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, subbing glasses, dishes, silverware, etc., and re-setting the room for next function.
- Attends staff meeting including pre-service sessions.
- Assures that all state and local laws and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed.
- Thanks members and guests inviting them to return.
- Consistently follows all sanitation-related requirements, including those related to personal hygiene.
- Completes other appropriate assignments made by the Banquet Captain.
- Ensures that Members and guests are satisfied with service.
- Assists in closing functions by performing various tasks such as removing linen, bussing and re-setting the room.
- Informs Banquet Captains or Manager of low inventory levels prior to running out.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Required to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach
- Use of hands and arms to handle, position, move materials, and manipulate things
- Ability to push, pull or lift up to 40 lbs
- Work environment is fast paced and noisy
