Ramen Tatsu-Ya is looking for a dedicated and proactive barback to support our bartenders and improve the efficiency of our bar operations. If you're passionate about the hospitality industry and excel in a fast-paced environment, we want to hear from you!Job Description:As a barback, you will be essential in maintaining the smooth operation of the bar by supporting bartenders and ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are readily available. Your responsibilities will include:
- Sanitation and Cleanliness: Follow strict sanitation procedures to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all areas of the bar.
- Station Stocking: Stock the bar with spirits, glassware, garnishes, and other necessary supplies to ensure bartenders have what they need for efficient service.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and communicate any out-of-stock items or low stock items to bartenders and managers.
- Assisting Bartenders: Support bartenders with drink preparation, including fetching ingredients, garnishes, and ice, to ensure timely service.
- Restocking: Restock beer kegs, garnishes, and ice throughout the shift to maintain a smooth operation.
- Table and Bar Maintenance: Assist with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area and help with clearing empty glasses and bottles from tables.
- Guest Interaction: Provide friendly and efficient support to guests at the bar as needed, ensuring a positive experience.
- Closing Procedures: Follow the close-down checklist procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed and the bar area is properly cleaned and organized before leaving.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older to work for Tatsu-Ya
- Successful completion of Food Handlers Manager and TABC certifications
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
- Professional handling of customer concerns
- Ability to stand for long periods and manage a busy shift
- Basic knowledge of food service operations is a plus
