Barge Mechanic Level ll.Rio Marine is expanding in the locations listed below. Rio is looking for long-term team members who want to be an integral part of our growing business where each member makes a direct contribution to the direction we take as a company.New Orleans, LAResponsibilities:• Trouble shoot and diagnostics for service related as well as project related jobs on barge engines.• In shop disassemble and reassemble of barge engine packages • Preform engine PM services in the fleet on barges. • Use power tools.• On-call as directed or needed• Travel occasionally for the company to work at other locations.• Follow safety procedures.• Any other duties as needed or directed by management as it relates to Rio Marine Inc. Operations.• Rio Marine is a 24 hour a day 7 day a week operation and overtime is required.Qualifications:1. Education• High School diploma or equivalent1. Physical• Ability to lift and carry 50lbs for extended distances.• Ability to work in any and all adverse weather conditions.• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and gangways up to twenty-five feet in height.• Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and work above head for extended periods of time.• Ability to operate Rio Marine vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.1. Personal Background• Must be capable of acquiring valid TWIC.• Must have a valid driver's license.• Must have a clean driving record with no DWI convictions.• Must pass a criminal background check.• Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test.• Travel occasionally for the company to work at other locations.Practical Experience• Previous experience on diesel engines (Cummins, John Deer, or Cat engines)• Good communications skills• Professional manner in dealing with other employees, management, and customers.• Organizational Skills Mechanical skillsFull Compensation Package Available to include:
