Summary: Responsible for preparing and serving coffee, other beverages and food items for guests. Additionally will assist guests by making recommendations, taking orders, up-selling special items, and keeping the facility clean and stocked.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned:
Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service.Takes guests orders at the counter or over the phone.Make beverages following specifications as required by Starbucks.Must be certified in hot bar, cold bar, cashiering, and product prep for current shift and next shift.Enter all transactions in the point-of-sale system, accept payment, enter tip information and account for all funds.Keep all register receipts organized and all refunds and voids documented correctly and signed by a supervisor/manager only.Prepares and handles food items in a safe manner and ensures the work area is always clean and neat.Review the status and appearance of the food for freshness.Assists guests with retail items/products for sale and tenders transactions of same, as necessary. Assists with display, inventory and stocking of retail items.Anticipate product needs for the department on a daily basis and communicate those to the appropriate personnel.Prepare and replenishes product as necessary.Check in and put away product.Perform daily/weekly/monthly needed side work and cleaning duties.Washes equipment and dishes as necessary practicing serve-safe guidelines.Remove trash in a timely manner.Works with co-workers as a team to ensure guest satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.Other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES N/AQUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission License.
- Must have a valid Driver License. LANGUAGE SKILLS - Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. COMPUTER SKILLS - Must have Microsoft Office experience and basic computer skills.
