DescriptionWe are looking for bright and energetic Bartenders! At Tucker's Restaurant we believe in quality and value-attributes we never compromise. We strive to deliver great service to guests and we do whatever it takes to make them feel special. Bartenders report to the Restaurant Manager.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant's standard drink recipes.
- Learning names and personally recognizing regular customers.
- Able to multi-task and serve banquet guests along with dining room guests
- Record drink orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the MICROS system.
- Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and make change (if applicable).
- Be able to cash out the cash drawer at the end of the shift.
- Prepare garnishes for drinks.
- Maintain bottles and glasses in an attractive and functional manner to support efficient drink preparation and promotion of beverages.
- Clear and reset tables in lounge.
- Present drink menus at the bar, make recommendations and answer questions regarding beverages.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the lounge, including counters, sinks, shelves and storage areas.
- Wait on and serve food orders to guests seated in the lounge.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies at the end of the shift.
- Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age
- Be able to communicate politely and distinctively to our guests.
- Have a working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes.
- Must be TIPS Certified (if not must obtain within 2 weeks of employment).
- Possess math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash drawer.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently life up to 40 pounds.
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
