Job Overview: We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and customer-focused bartender to join our tasting room team at Stateside. As a key brand ambassador, you will play an integral role in educating guests about our handcrafted vodka, canned cocktails, and other spirits, while providing exceptional service. Weekend shifts will be high volume, so we are seeking a bartender who thrives in fast-paced environments and can ensure smooth operations during busy times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and serve tasting room guests in a friendly, professional manner
- Prepare and serve signature cocktails, neat pours, and tasting flights with accuracy and speed
- Educate customers about our distillery process, flavor profiles, and cocktail offerings
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Monitor and manage inventory of spirits, mixers, and other bar supplies
- Process orders and handle transactions using the Toast point-of-sale (POS) system
- Assist with setup, break-down, and clean-up of the tasting room during and after shifts
- Collaborate with tasting room team members to ensure an exceptional guest experience
- Adhere to all state and local alcohol-serving laws and regulations
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Extensive knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and bar operations
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to engage and educate guests
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards
- A passion for craft spirits and willingness to learn about our products
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Available to work weekends and holidays as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a distillery, winery, or brewery tasting room
- Certification in responsible alcohol service (TIPS, ServSafe, etc.)
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with loud noise
