Job Title: BartenderReports to: Manager on Duty Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Job Summary: The Tap Room Bartender serves as one of the most integral functions in the restaurant. Bartenders hold the responsibility of receiving orders, creating beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) for all guests, serving, selling, and building a relationship with our guests. Bartenders are expected to have full knowledge of our menu, liquor/beer, food, specials, promotions, and events. Duties and Responsibilities
- Take food and beverage orders, utilize salesmanship techniques, and make appropriate recommendations.
- Input orders into the POS system correctly and quickly.
- Ask for ID anytime serving alcohol to guests. There are no exceptions to this law and policy.
- Have full knowledge of our menu, beer list, house cocktails, wine, and liquor.
- Ensure prompt service for bar guests, along with service bar.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar.
- Have knowledge of proper pours and use of glassware.
- Adheres to state, federal, and company liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests.
- Ensure the ability to properly read state-issued identification.
- Come to work in proper uniform, neat and clean, with a positive attitude, and ready to work on time.
- Act with integrity and honesty, and alert management to all issues that may arise with a guest.

- Assist fellow team members in the performance of their responsibilities. We want team players only!
- Adhere to the policies and procedures of Tap Room.
- Complete all opening and closing tasks pertinent to the bartending position, as well as running side-work.
- Hospitality and guest service is your top priority; you should display an outgoing personality and always be polite.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Education, and Experience
- Ability to work holidays, even if regularly scheduled days do not fall on the holiday.
- You must be able to do heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and remain on your feet for up to 10 hours at a time.
- Ability to treat all guests with composure and hospitality.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships.
- Must be able to provide TIPS certification.
