Do you enjoy keeping score and statistics for various sports? Do you want the opportunity to watch youth basketball from the best seat in the gym? Are you an experienced athlete looking for different a way to get back into the sports world?Our community centers across the City of Raleigh are looking for dependable, diligent, fun, and passionate scorekeepers to assist with our youth basketball leagues. Never score kept before? No problem, we'll train you! Duties and Responsibilities Actively keep score and minor statistics (scoring, time-outs, fouls, time, etc.) in our youth basketball leagues, maintain open channels of communication with referees and teams playing on our court, input score entries into our athletic league database, monitor teams to make sure games are being conducted safely. In addition, scorekeepers need to ensure that the court is ready for game play. Our youth leagues vary in age from five to twelve years old. Typical Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age, customer service oriented. Basic mathematical skills (addition and subtraction) and decision-making skills are required. A basic understanding of basketball as well as application of the rules and regulations is beneficial. Rules will vary depending on age of the league.
