Quanex is looking for a Batch-Off Operator 3rd Shift to join our team located in Cambridge, Ohio. What Success Looks Like:
- Assist in establishing and maintaining compound processing procedures.
- General housekeeping and perform daily/weekly 5s duties.
- Handle Batch-Off safety checklists.
- Operate computer control system and maintain and operate bar code printer.
- Refill batch dip and maintain proper slab dip levels for the compound being mixed.
- Clean out gear pump head and assist with setting up next one.
- Ensure loop lengths are set accordingly for the recipe being mixed.
- Ensure rubber compound meets customer specs and is packaged in the proper container neatly.
- Operate a forklift for various functions.
Your Credentials:
- One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- High School or GED preferred.
- Willing to work overtime including weekends.
- Close visual work required. Ability to read information in a variety of formats.
- Knowledge of general computer skills and attention to detail
