Job Summary

Produce chemical batches for assigned lines to support manufacturing schedule. Oversee batching process including component verification, batch sampling, waste control, and equipment maintenance/troubleshooting. Responsible for batching cost up to $80,000.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Understand and demonstrate safe work practices at all
• Demonstrate high levels of good housekeeping practices to promote a safe work
• Oversee assigned batching area with high amount of independence and minimal active
• Verify written batch record as received by the Batching
• Ensure chemical inventory availability prior to batching and stage
• Combine raw materials as written on batch record in mixing
• Continuously confirm and verify amount of component use in batch and material remaining in
• Utilize available line/filler rinsate totes for a given batch
• Sample completed batch for Quality Assurance
• Make batch adjustments as instructed through Quality Assurance with regard to pH and percent active ingredient.
• Monitor and troubleshoot water systems in area (de-ionized and soft water systems).
• Inventory excess batch after production in appropriate totes with proper labeling and weight declaration.
• Rinse batch tanks and assist with filler rinses using appropriate totes, labels, and weight
• Complete shifts end Tie Out Sheet area, taking inventory of batch
• Control waste in area; transfer to holding
• Retrieve solvent and propellant tank farm reading for inventory control as
• General housekeeping and spill control in batch room
• Chemical raw material receiving and sampling in the absence of the Chemical
• Complies with all Company policies and
• Other duties

Education and Experience Profile

Associates Degree or equivalent experience

3-5 Years batching experience

Required Skills

• Problem solving
• Attention to details
• Ability to obtain a full-face respirator certification

• Forklift certified
• Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
• Willing to work overtime as needed, especially in busy season

Work Environment

10% normal office environment and 90% manufacturing environment
