We're ready to expand our grooming services and are looking for the right teammates to help grow with us! Please note that this position has bathing responsibilities only, with the potential to turn into a Pet Stylist. The Bather is a position within the Resort. A successful candidate for this position will be someone who not only embraces this culture, but is a team player, self-motivated, takes direction well, has excellent communication skills, and great attention to detail. This is a service-related industry and you should not only be skilled at customer service, but passionate about helping people. The Bather will assume complete responsibility for bathing of our individual bath guests, either while staying at our resort or as a walk-in appointment.Responsibilities:DO YOU LOVE PETS!!! Come Join our growing Team!!Tails Up is a premier pet resort in Castle Rock for pet lodging and doggy daycare. We are looking for dog and cat lovers to join our team! ResponsibilitiesEnsure each pet is treated with respect and dignityEnsure all pets have fresh waterWalk dogs on leash to and from Salon areasEngage in play activities with pets including: fetch, exercise walks, chase, follow the leader, daycare, recall and basic obedience games, etc.Alert supervisors to any changes in pet behavior or demeanorFollow all standards of safety with regards to handling petsClean and sanitize all Tables, pet enclosures, exercise yards, and common areas. Use disinfectants and other chemicals safely as instructed by the supervisorClean up poop, urine and any vomit several times throughout your shift; make accurate records of eliminationsAssist Supervisors with daily tasks as neededEnsure pets feel at home and loved by providing attention and cuddles whenever possibleWork with a team who all exemplify these qualitiesA passion for animals and animal care, especially dogs + cats. Willing to learn animal behavior to ensure their safetyFocuses on safe and gentle handling. Forceful, aversive, aggressive handling, vocalizing or treatment will not be toleratedMust be able to work under conditions that require sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing and graspingConflict Resolution - Ability to handle conflict with tact and diplomacyGood team work and willingness to assist other departments as necessaryCheerful, friendly, positive team-oriented attitudeStrong attention to detail, especially where documentation is concerned. Reliable, punctual, and dependableAbility to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekendsAbility to take direction well and apply it independently Ability to work in temperature extremes, work outside, or in distracting work environments such as loud noise/soundAbility to tolerate being in close contact with various bodily fluids and to get dirty frequently Must be comfortable being around cats and dogs of all sizes and physically able to handle dogs of all sizes and to lift up to 60 lbs.
