A great School is looking for an experienced Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join their growing team!
Responsibilities and requirements include:
- Programming
- On-going teacher training
- Mentoring teachers and paraprofessional development goals
- Conducts individualized criterion referenced inventories of behavior repertoires (assessments) for all students on an annual basis.
- Analyzes student progress on a daily or moment-to-moment basis.
- Development of curricula and behavior procedures to be followed in the classrooms.
Qualifications/Education and Experience:
- Masters Degree
- New York State Teaching Certificate-Special Education
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification a plus
- NYS License Behavior Analyst a plus
- Must complete Personalized System of Instruction (PSI) training modules in a timely manner. Three-tiered training modules include knowledge of the terminology of the science of Applied Behavior Analysis, fast and accurate presentation and consecution of instruction (learn units), analysis of individual student data.
- An ability and willingness to train and supervise Teachers teacher aides in appropriate presentation of instruction and consecution of student behavior. Ability to model appropriate classroom behavior.
- Sensitivity to the communication, academic, and social needs of students with developmental disabilities at all levels of independence.
- School Building Leader (SBL) Certification a plus.
