  • Sanding of cabs in primer state as well as aluminum state
  • Washing of cab parts before and after primer
  • Acid washingDrying of vehiclesDriving of trucksMasking of padding: 0>truck bodies and padding: 0>cabs to create several tones per vehicleLearn and retain skills and practices needed to complete duties in assigned area
  • Read and follow detailed operator instructions, installation drawings, blueprints, etcetera, as required by a particular area
  • Understand, and be able to articulate, the production flow of an assigned product line or area
  • Self-check work and inspect prior processesUse basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as requiredMeet production goalsMaintain a clean and safe work areaInitiate process improvementsSupport 5S in work areaCommunicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams (engineering, materials, purchasing, sales, etcetera) to resolve issues
What you need to be successful:
  • HS Diploma or GED required
  • 1-year automotive paint prep experience >Excellent attendance >Positive attitude >Strong and consistent attention to detail >Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task >Team oriented >Basic computer skills are required >Body and paint experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of application of fillers, putties, and primers
Able to:
  • Tolerate very high heat temperatures >Be exposed to high dust & chemicals >Work overtime on short notice
