This position is responsible for the operation of machinery that cuts and packages foam bedding products. This position will communicate with the department manager and lead person for direction of material needing to be cut. This starting pay rate for this position is $21.38 to $22.29 per hour with an additional $2.00 per hour when working 2nd shift hours. The base pay will increase to $23.31 after being cross-trained within the department. There is also an additional seniority premium.Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations of excellence. This successful candidate will be expected to be efficient in the operation of several pieces of equipment within the department to determine the best material utilization.Additional responsibilities of the Slitter Operator will include:Creating and labeling all finished products and products that are determined to be stock.Using order listings to determine sizes and amounts to cut.Operating foam slitter machines.Entering dimensions into the control panel and setting other machine parameters.Verifying proper machine operations and checking output accuracy.Operating baler and tying bales.Wrapping and packaging product in polyurethane wrap.Being forklift certified.Making machine adjustments when necessary while monitoring the equipment to keep downtime to a minimum.#J-18808-Ljbffr
