Hours Available: 6:30am-8:30am & 2:30pm-6:00pm, Monday-Friday.Job SummaryStaff report directly to the Site Director and assists with the supervision of all children in the Kids' Time Program. This includes, but not limited to, assisting preparing, implementing and the cleaning up of daily planned activities. Participation in group activities. Preparing, serving and cleaning up morning and/or afternoon snacks. Establishes and maintains open and positive communication with management, co-workers, school employees, parents, and children. Job expectations of the position are governed by the DHHS Child Care School Age Licensing and the policies and procedures as stated in the BPSF Kids' Time Employee Handbook and/or as mandated by BPSF Kids' Time Administration. Support staff/Teachers report to Site Directors, and the Program Director.DHHS Child Care School Age Licensing, all BPSF Kids' Time candidates must be at least 16 years of age. All employees must complete the Nebraska Child Abuse & Neglect Register, The Nebraska Adult Abuse Central Registry, as well as a complete background check. Candidates 18 years and older must complete the FBI Fingerprint Background Check. All background checks must be completed prior to hire per the DHHS Child Care Licensing. We E-Verify.Candidates need to have reliable transportation. Previous experience in Child Care is preferred, but not required. - Function in various work settings, including gymnasiums, outdoor play areas, field trips, school buses, swimming pools, etc.
- Obtain or willingness to obtain CPR certification and First Aid
- Obtain or willingness to obtain required in-services hours.

Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Essential Job Functions Kids' Time Program Development and Site Management:
- Assists in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment in accordance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Assists with setting up and clean up of snack/art time.
- Assists with the preparation and clean up of activities at the site.
- Understands and is able to execute various emergency procedures as trained.
- Responds promptly to inquiry and complaints from Kids' Time employees and district staff.
- Assists as needed and directed by the Site Director, and Program Director.
- Performs other duties as directed by the Site Director, Assistant Director, and Program Director.
- Supervises and Interacts with Children at Kids' Time:
- Ensures constant and appropriate level of supervision of children by assisting in overseeing, monitoring, and directing the activities of children.
- Actively participates in site activities as appropriate and provides positive guidance to children.
- Establishes and maintains open communication with parents, staff, and children in a respectful manner.
- Assists with behavior sheets, write-ups, and accident reports but does not communicate these incidents to parents/guardians-leaves this up to the Site Directors.
- Provides appropriate care for children who become ill, are injured, or are upset.
- In-Service Training Requirements:
- Attends 12 hours of in-service training on an annual basis (January 1st- December 31st) depending on how many hours they are scheduled to work.
