Job Description:
Job DescriptionAmerican Behavioral Solutions is searching for passionate, highly motivated and organized individuals to join our team as Behavior Analysts. The Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) is involved in the implementation and evaluation of interventions with individuals to produce socially significant outcomes. This position is responsible for performing professional work that is substantially varied in nature under general direction from BCBA. The Assistant Behavior Analyst applies professional training and experience to implement appropriate interventions for clients, and to carry out other appropriate assignments.Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site support in the area of applied behavior analysis.
  • Conduct assessment of activities related to the need for behavioral interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of a child's treatment team and family.
  • Oversee the implementation of behavior analysis programs by others.
  • Coordinate delivery of services to clients by caregivers to achieve therapeutic outcomes.
  • Design, implement, and monitor behavior analysis programs for clients under the BCBA supervision.
  • Create and modify learning trees and sessions on Central Reach.
  • Review daily progress notes created by RBTs or BCaBAs for each client.
  • Implement behavior intervention and therapy skill acquisition programming.
  • Conduct training with caregivers and measure performance via competency checks.
  • Conduct training with behavior technicians and measure performance via competency checks.
  • Review daily progress notes of behavior technicians for each client.
  • Review client's behavior programs and/or assessment and update goals and objectives.
  • Assist client/caregivers with completion of the client satisfaction survey.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary and/or care review meetings at which behavioral treatment programs are reviewed and updated with new goals and objectives
  • Collect baseline and intervention data to evaluate outcomes.
  • Collect data on targets for behavior reduction and acquisition.
  • Graph data in the portal and seek assistance from analyst when necessary.
  • Prepare daily visit notes at the time service is provided.
  • Accurately track hours of service and stay within the budgeted time frame.
  • Complete authorized therapy hours for each client and do so appropriately.
  • Report for face-to-face group supervision meetings weekly.
  • Obtain required supervision hours based on service delivery hours as specified by the BACB.
  • Maintain certification by completing required CEUs for each certification cycle.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensure requirements for documentation of services are implemented.
  • Drive to each client setting to provide services.
  • Return phone calls within 4 hours and e-mails within 24 hours.
  • Notify Human Resources of requests to take paid time off; ensure that the time requested off is posted in the agency calendar once approved by the company and obtain coverage options.
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective action plans.
  • Attend trainings, meetings, and conferences required by the company.
  • Comply with all policies, procedures, and requirements necessary to perform the functions of this position.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA laws.
  • Report any incidents of violations of client rights, harassment or discrimination, zero tolerance, or health/ safety/ welfare policies.
  • Prepare incident reports for any abuse and neglect situations observed or reported to you and inform the analyst and owner of the company immediately.
RequirementsEducational and Experiential Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related field required from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) through the Behavior Analysis Certification Board required.
  • Prior experience in a clinical setting for behavior analysis services.
Other requirements:Must complete the following:
  • CPR/ First Aid
  • HIPAA training
  • Title IX
  • Security Awareness
  • Level I Fingerprints
  • Relias Trainings (90 day and annual)
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Outstanding social skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, intuitive analytical abilities, and training or course work in developmental disabilities.
  • Knowledge of state, HIPAA, and Medicaid regulations.
  • Ability to handle multiple activities simultaneously.
  • Maintain access to computer and check e-mail regularly.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and support coordinators.
  • Ability to show flexibility, motivation, and to display emotionality to fit a variety of sensitive situations.
  • Ability to display sound judgment and reasoning in decision-making and problem-solving skills in using ABA techniques.
  • Demonstrate professionalism in all facets of job (e.g., calls analyst/parent in advance of cancellation or tardiness, maintains a positive attitude).
  • Spanish language preferred.
