Job DescriptionNemours Children's Hospital, Florida is seeking a Behavior Analyst (FULL-TIME), to join our team in Downtown Orlando, FL.Located in Orlando, FL, Nemours Children's Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 130-bed pediatric hospital also features the area's only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. In keeping with our goal of bringing Nemours care into the communities we serve; we also provide specialty outpatient care in several clinics located throughout the region.The Behavior Analyst will:
- Management of cases that includes communicating with parents/caregivers and other therapists to address issues such as data collection, graphing, programmatic decisions, supervision, etc.
- Design acquisition and deceleration programs, treatment plans, data sheets, and graphs to meet goals for each assigned patient.
- Conduct ongoing assessments as required by the individual patient.
- Develop training materials that are up to date with current technologies in the field as needed and present during staff trainings.
- Meet scheduling and billing requirements as outlined in the budget for parent training, program modification, assessments, and direct hours.
- Complete required clinical outcome data tracking requirements (e.g., supervision, IOA, Treatment Integrity, Huddles, supervision monitoring, etc.)
- Track, graph, and analyze data for each patient's performance - graphs must be updated at least weekly.
- Conduct weekly huddles or discussions regarding programs and make programmatic decisions with the consultation of the Lead Behavior Analyst or Director as dictated by clinical concerns.
- Communicate with parents to ensure that the consumer service model is followed.
- Submit treatment and parent progress reports as determined by clinic requirements.
- Ensure data and charting (i.e., session notes) for all assigned cases are updated and accurate as determined by clinic requirements.
- Attend all weekly staff meetings and case reviews. Present training topic in staff meetings.
- Conduct individual teaching sessions for each patient as assigned.
- Assist in supervising, training, providing feedback, and monitoring staff as needed.
- Provide regular feedback to the Lead Behavior Analyst and Director on all activities at Nemours as dictated by clinical concerns.
- Adhere to certification requirements as outlined by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board.
- Adheres to all Nemours policies and procedures.
- Conduct and monitor research as assigned.
- Perform all other duties as required.
Qualified Candidates will:
- Baccalaureate (up to 3-4 years of formal training/education beyond high school; e.g. Bachelor's Degree) in Behavior Analysis required.
- Advanced (5 to 6 years of formal training/education beyond high school; eg, Masters Degree) in Behavior Analysis preferred.
- BCBA Certification in Behavior Analysis is required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Behavior Analysis required.
