POSITION TITLE: Behavior Analyst SALARY RANGE: $3,567.57 - $5,270.93 Bi-weekly; $92,756.82 - $137,044.18 AnnualREPORTS TO: Clinical Supervisor The Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB) is one of 21 Regional Centers that are community-based, private non-profit corporations under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services. RCEB provides intake, assessment, diagnosis, and coordinates community-based services for over 25,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. RCEB envisions a future where persons with developmental disabilities are truly a part of the community. Persons with developmental disabilities receive supports and services they need to succeed. The supports and services change as the need changes.In our dream, children with developmental disabilities live with families in typical communities. Many choose to attend their neighborhood schools and play with neighborhood friends. Adults with developmental disabilities live in the residence of their choice - with family members, with friends, or with their spouse / significant other. They engage in activities of their choice - work, volunteering, education, training, or leisure. They have meaningful relationships with friends and coworkers and are seen as valuable, contributing members of their communities. DUTIES:Under general direction, the Behavior Analyst identifies behavioral service needs, develops and conducts quality assurance activities with vendors, provides consultation to RCEB consumers, staff, and providers on behavioral services, and represents RCEB within the broader community regarding behavioral services.
Develops and maintains professional relationships in the community of behavioral providers to increase the quality and types of services available to RCEB consumers. Expands services provided by vendored clinicians and facilities.Provides consultation to RCEB case managers and providers on behavioral service needs. Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and other meetings for individual consumers as needed.Serves as a key member of consultation teams at RCEB, as assigned. These teams include but are not limited to resource teams, crisis teams, and clinical teams.Evaluates programs and services in the community, including residential services. Works with the quality assurance staff to monitor licensed residential homes and other services.Develops tools for RCEB staff and others to utilize in considering and reviewing behavioral service needs and outcomes of interventions.Reviews and recommends exceptional behavioral service requests for consumers.Consults with RCEB staff to determine consumer eligibility for placement into specialized residential facilities, or into or out of state developmental centers.Participates in the review, modification and approval of proposals for all new or expanded behavioral services and facilities, including community placement plan projects.Drafts policy and procedures for behavioral services as needed.Provides training and education to the following: RCEB staff, consumers and families; the broader local community; RCEB vendors, including but not limited to behavioral service providers.Responsible for reviewing all behavioral interventions that are restrictive in nature or may cause pain or trauma and coordinating required committee meetings to review any such proposed interventions.Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ph.D/Psy.D in behavior analysis, psychology or related field. California Psychology or license eligible as psychologist preferred.MA in behavior analysis or psychology can be substituted with additional clinical or administrative experience.Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).Three or more years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team, as well as independently with supervision.Excellent writing and public speaking skills.Computer literate.Automobile, valid driver's license and auto insurance.Bilingual preferred.Demonstrates cultural awareness and sensitivity and an ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations.BENEFITS: At the Regional Center of the Easy Bay, we offer a full spectrum of competitive benefits including:
