Overview:

Assist with the day to day supervision of assigned students in program. Train assigned staff inbehavior intervention plans. Participate in team meetings and assist Psychologists andBCBAs as needed.

Responsibilities:

1: Professional Dutiesa. Provide support to BCBAs and Psychologists including Data Collection, observationsand run assessments.b. Become familiar with Students FBAs and BIPs. Assist and train classroom staffto implement Behavior Intervention Plans.c. Participate in team meetings on students as specified by Psychology Departmentor Program Supervisor.d. Supervise Handle With Care (HWC) Intervention when used by staff.e. Review all incident reports.f. Respond to alert calls for help.2: School Environmenta. Responsible for health and safety of all students during the school day.b. Establish appropriate and effective communication with parents of students.c. Direct supervision of Handle With Care (HWC) trained personnel.3: Professional Behaviorsa. Cooperate and conduct self in manner appropriate to school education setting.b. Adhere to program specific policies and procedures.c. Participate in program-wide activities and act in an appropriate manner.d. Participate in activities and seek support to enhance knowledge in areas pertinent to students in the school.4: Professional Developmenta. Attend and participate in required in-services and staff development in an appropriatemanner.b. Attend and participate in supervisory sessions as requested.c. Be proficient in reviewing standardized testing for the purpose of assessing student ability level.d. Collaborate with each students clinical service providers to ensure a comprehensive programfor each student.5: Adhere to general policies of the organization/regulators including:a. Code of Ethical Conductb. Emergency/disaster preparedness protocols.c. Fire/safety prevention protocols.d. In-service education program requirements.e. Policies and procedures (attendance, punctuality, appearance, professional attire).f. Job related self-development education activities.g. Infection control practices and proceduresh. Annual physical examination and Mantoux testing.6: Perform other related duties as required.a. Demonstrate understanding of the needs of children and visitors for each specific age group.b. Address safety and psychological needs of the special age groups, as appropriate, in the performance of work activities.c. Address the needs of special groups, hearing impaired, physically challenged and various issues relating to the program and facility.d. Maintain child and family confidentiality.e. Is consistently courteous and considerate, in person and on the telephone, in interactions with children and others such as family, visitors, vendors, and other employees.f. Exhibit the At Your Service attitude, i.e., smiles, uses positive eye contact, friendly, open and approachable.g. Respond quickly to children and/or parent/guardians request, refers to appropriate member of the care team, if necessary.h. Maintain BCBA certification.

Qualifications:

Bachelors in Psychology or related field required. Must be working towards MS in Psychologyor Education within six (6) months of employment. Enrolled in a BCBA Program;BCBA Certification within three (3) years of employment. Handle With Care (HWC) Trainer certification required.Knowledge of assessment and treatment through Applied Behavior Analysisintensive teaching techniques in an educational and/or residential setting required.VI. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENTPhysical aspects may include but are not limited to lifting and transferring of a student.
