Job description
We are seeking a kind and dedicated Behavior Technician (BT) to partner with our Board-Certified Behavioral Analysts to help implement individualized treatment plans that are aimed at improving our kiddo's independent functioning skills. The Behavior Technician will provide one-on-one therapy with our kiddos aged 2-6 years old, assist with parent trainings, and collect data related to individual behavior plans. This is a clinical skill building & behavior modification program for children on the autism spectrum, using evidence-based practices of Applied Behavioral Analysis.
Some Responsibilities Include:
- Provide center-based services
- Ability to work with families and children with diverse backgrounds, ethnicity, cultures and economic status.
- Collect data for ABA programming.
- Completes daily notes at the end of all sessions.
- Communicate with caregiver and other supports
- Remain in constant communication with BCBA
- Attend supervision meetings with BCBA
- Assist with program development
- Performs other special projects and additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma (required) Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
- Certification: Registered Behavioral Technician certification (RBT) (preferred)
- Reliable transportation
Other Requirements: Outgoing with high energy! Strong written and verbal communication skills. Effective time management skills are a must.
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting/Carrying more than 50 lbs. Able to sustain impact to the body (i.e., being hit, etc.) in any area. Running, crouching, squatting, and ability to kneel for sustained periods of time. Bending at the waist to touch knees and/or toes. Full range of motion of hands and arms. Sitting on the floor and chair for long periods of time. Ability to move quickly from standing to seated, or kneeling position, without support.

- CPR/First aid within first 30 days of employment
Experience:
- Behavioral health: 1 year (Preferred)
- Working with children: 1 year (Preferred)
