Now through December 2024, Child and Family Focus is offering a $100 sign on bonus* to be paid following 6 months of successful employment!*Bonus amounts could be prorated based on number of hours workedChild and Family Focus is looking for a part-time, qualified, and passionate Behavior Health Technician (BHT) to join our Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS) team. IBHS, formally known as BHRS, provides interventions and supports for children, youth, or young adults under the age of 21 with mental health, emotional, or behavioral needs.Job Responsibilities:
- Provide 1-to-1 support to the child, parent, and/or caregiver to address the therapeutic needs of the child, youth, or young adult using behavioral interventions and strategies as instructed by a Behavioral Consultant (BC) in the home, school, and community settings.
- Support problem-solving and skill development of the child, youth, or young adult.
- Instruct children on how to understand, direct, interpret, manage, and control feelings and emotional responses to situations.
- Support the development of improved decision-making skills to manage behavior.
- Assist with the development of social skills and socially acceptable behaviors.
- Instruct on stress reduction techniques.
- Collect behavioral data.
- Fulfill client prescriptions as outlined within the monthly prescription.
- Overlap with the BC at least 2 times/month and consult with the BC weekly.
- Submit necessary proof of service delivery and billing documentation within the required timeframe.
- Document case activity using an EMR system within the required timeframe.
- Participate in bi-weekly supervision.
- Use and implement the 5 core values of Trauma-Informed Care in all work practices - Safety, Trustworthiness, Choice, Collaboration, & Empowerment.
Qualifying Criteria for Behavior Health Technician:
- Have a high school diploma or the equivalent of a high school diploma.
- Complete a free, online, 40-hour training covering the RBT Task List, 2nd edition (found at this link: prior to first day.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Current Child Abuse, Criminal Record Check, and Department of Human Services clearances.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the provision of behavioral health services.
- Have a certification as a BCaBA.
- Have a certification as an RBT.
- Have a certification as a BCAT.
- Have a behavior health certification or behavior analysis certification from an organization that is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies or the American National Standards Institute.
Compensation and Benefits and Perks:
