Shift Details: This is a full-time night shift position (11p-7:30a) with every other weekend and some holidays required.
Job Summary: We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Perform initial and on-going bio-psychosocial assessments
- Participate in treatment team conferences
- Implement nursing plan of care and conduct group therapy sessions
- Evaluate patient's response to interventions and revise nursing plan of care as needed
- Provide direct patient care according to physician's order
- Evaluate and recognize changes in patients' physical and psychosocial status
- Delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to behavioral health patients
Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Connecticut Department of Public Health
- Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate's Degree required, Bachelor Degree preferred
- Experience in an acute care psychiatric setting preferred
- Evidence of leadership ability
