  • Welcomes patients to the service (Psych Emergency, Medical Emergency Department or In-patient units as assigned) and reviews safety rules with patients
  • Helps idenitfy high risk patients and uses Crisis intervention practices and personal support safety plan intervention techniques to maintain a safe environment
  • Understands patient characteristics, triggers, trauma informed and patient/ enviroemntal variables in order to assist in preventing patients from losing control
  • Perofrms observations and monitoring of assigned patients and conducts checks and hourly rounds as assigned
Minimum Qualifications1. An Associate's degree in criminal justice, social services or a health-related area; or2. A High School diploma or a G.E.D. and one (1) year of full-time experience in law enforcement, nursing or psychiatric/behavioral health in a high volume, intensive care environment.3. *Successful completion of an appropriate training program in the application and use of restraints and seclusion must be completed prior to an individual performing such work.4.
