DescriptionLocation: Building S70, Camp Dodge Joint Maneuver Training Center (CDJMTC) located at 7105 NW 70th Avenue, Johnston, Iowa, 50131Background: After years at war and many deployments, the IA ARNG has service members with minor to serious behavioral health issues who require assistance in finding appropriate resources for their individual needs. Likewise, many new recruits come into the military for a variety of reasons and often have behavior health issues that come up during their transition from civilian to soldier; it is imperative these new service members receive the specific care required for this adjustment period. These services are critical to build and maintain strength and readiness for the IA ARNG. Knowledge and Experience:
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and a working knowledge of desktop computer operations;
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and health care delivery systems;
- Experience with computerized client management systems;
- Working knowledge of Army/Air Force medical regulations;
- Experience working with community agencies; and
- Experience working with military personnel.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Experience: 2 years in healthcare, healthcare administration, human resources, or business administration
- Desired, but not Required: Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, ideally in the fields of social work, healthcare administration or business administration.

The Contractor shall provide the following Behavioral Health Care Coordination and Administrative services:
- Serve as an intake worker for crisis evaluation and/or routine intake evaluation. Facilitate intake and triage of patients by receiving phone calls and/or prospective patients in person to obtain demographic, historical and clinical information. Interview patients to identify relevant information and organize pertinent facts.
- Assist in the coordination and scheduling of training for all resources within the IA ARNG Behavioral Health System to support the delivery of behavioral health services for service members and to support families as necessary.
- Create, manage and coordinate schedules for all Solder BH appointments and Ensure adequate staffing to meet the needs of the mission and patient flow.
- Track medical appointments by communication with unit to ensure Soldier appointment attendance and submission of follow up documentation.
- Maintain a list of available local resources within the state to coordinate care and ensure service members have alternative options available to receive medical care if not eligible for military health benefits.
- Attend PHA events as determined by the needs of the state and the individual units.
- Maintain communication and coordination with the following programs within the IA ARNG: Non Clinical Case Management teams, Sexual Assault Prevention Program, Suicide Prevention Program, Army Casualty Operations, Survivor Outreach Services, State Family Programs, IA ARNG Yellow Ribbon Program, and Soldier Resiliency, Screening Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT).
- Assist in resolving scheduling conflicts for Service Members needing behavioral health care.
- Provide medical behavioral health support and submit actions as required by the Behavioral Health Case Managers.
- Complete required Release of Information forms to be able to obtain behavioral health medical documentation.
- Attend Soldier Readiness Process/Reserve Soldier Readiness Process (SRP/RSRP) events.
- Complete all administrative charting for behavioral health cases in eCase.
- Provide Behavioral Health Reports for each month to the COR for review no later than the 5th of the following month. Reports shall include the programs and services that were provided by Behavioral Health Services to the NGB Behavioral Health System.
- Complete all correspondence in accordance with AR 25-50 and Department of the Army Memo 25-52
- Prepare Soldier BH medical charts with accurate, concise, timely summaries and supplemental documentation for appointments. Complete all administrative charting for behavioral health cases in eCase and the Behavioral Health Data portal
- Ensure that service member behavioral health medical records are in accordance with Army Regulation (AR) 40-66 and AFI 41-210, Patient Administration Strictly follow the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Privacy Act Regulations to ensure confidentiality and right to privacy is maintained
- Receive and place all behavioral health medical documentation received from the Soldier and/or their medical team in appropriate electronic and hard copy record. Upload behavioral health medical documents of case managed Service Member into Health Readiness Record (HRR), stamp all behavioral health medical documents for verification after uploading and index uploaded medical documents.
- Correspond with unit leadership, through emails and official reports, on evaluations completed on Service Members within 10 working days of Official correspondence and documents shall be accurately typed and packaged in accordance with regulations with minimal grammatical and typographical errors.
- Provide reports and updates to the DPH for review status of programs and services that provide Behavioral Health Services to the IAARNG Behavioral Health System.
- Secure and safeguard all government property, including documents that are provided for or created by behavioral health case All records, documents and resources utilized within the scope of this work are for official government use only, and shall remain government property on termination of the contract.
Work Schedule: The Care Coordinator shall provide services between the hours of 08:00 AM - 4:30 PM on Monday through Friday, except on recognized US holidays or when the Government facility/installation is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government-directed facility/installation closings. Work hours may vary to support mission requirements. The Contractor may provide these services in multiple locations throughout the State of Iowa, depending on mission requirements, with the primary daily duty location being at Building S70, Camp Dodge Joint Maneuver Training Center (CDJMTC) located at 7105 NW 70th Avenue, Johnston, Iowa, 50131.
