HireLevel is seeking a Behavioral Health Care Manager to lead and oversee the care management team responsible for coordinating behavioral health services.
Our client is a fortune 500 company who is a nationwide leader in the healthcare services field and they pride themselves on their ability to provide a wide range of government sponsored healthcare programs; including a variety of insurance solutions.
This role will require outreach to members and providers. The goal is to close care gaps/HEDIS measures by ensuring that the members we reach can establish care within 7 or 30 days post behavioral health hospitalization. This role will also support the behavioral health team in
other areas regarding calls, doing health risk screenings, etc.

Hours: 8a - 6:30p
Compensation: $46.52/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the care management team, assigning caseloads based on state requirements, team experience, and member needs.
- Oversee day-to-day escalations and address care management issues related to members or providers in the behavioral health space.
- Monitor and review care management documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations as well as contractual obligations.
- Collaborate with senior management to resolve escalated and complex behavioral health cases and provide guidance to junior staff members.
- Educate and offer resources to the care management team on key initiatives and outreach efforts related to member needs.
- Evaluate team performance, provide feedback, and set goals and career development milestones for care management staff.
- Offer coaching to team members and providers, ensuring that members receive high-quality care, information on service options, referrals, and healthcare benefits.
- Monitor reports to ensure that quality and productivity metrics are met, review case assignments, and perform regular audits of staff activities.
- Assist in the onboarding, hiring, and training of new care management team members.
- Comply with all company policies and standards, and take on additional responsibilities as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team of care managers.
- In-depth knowledge of behavioral health care management and coordination.
- Familiarity with federal and state regulations governing care management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for working with both team members and external providers.
- Ability to evaluate team performance and ensure adherence to quality standards.
Education & Experience:
- Master's degree in Behavioral Health or graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a focus on behavioral health.
- Minimum of 4+ years of related experience in behavioral health care management or a similar healthcare setting.
License/Certification:
- Must possess a valid Licensed Clinical Behavioral Health Professional license or Registered Nurse (RN) license, depending on state requirements (e.g., LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, LMHC, or RN with behavioral health experience).
