If you are interested in joining a team that is caring, collaborative, innovative and energizing this might be a great place for you!Job Title: Behavioral Health Clinician Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm Hybrid scheduleCompensation: $45k-$55kJOB SUMMARY: To perform a combination of behavioral health clinical tasks including and not limited to intake assessment on referrals for mental health services and/or provide counsel with emphasis on prevention and recovery as assigned on weekly rotation schedule by Program Manager. Work with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental health. This position will help individuals deal with complex and comorbid diagnosis which may include: serious persistent mental health illness, addictions and substance abuse; family, parenting, marital problems and challenges with social determinants of health; suicide; stress management; problems with self-esteem; and issues associated with aging, physical, mental and emotional health.RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform face-to-face intake for consumers who have been referred to MHC and assess for care management, medication management or therapy eligibility.Complete all intake evaluation paperwork: initial intake, and grief when needed and any other necessary paperwork.Determine an individual's appropriateness for care management, medication management or therapy and assign to all that are appropriate.Disposition consumer to appropriate Agency for other mental health services when ineligible for care management.Identify individuals that are in need of MCRT services rather than a routine intake. If appropriate, facilitate crisis action.Assist in resolving any grievance received from a consumer regarding referral.Fill in for Admissions Coordinator as indicated by supervisor.Utilize Intake Committee for all consumers who meet criteria who have a history of violence, sexual crimes or serious criminal activity. Write completed intake and email to Intake Committee for review. Contact consumer with decision.Utilize evidence based therapeutic framework, counsel consumers and patients, individually and group sessions, to assist in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life and making changes.Guide consumers in the development of skills and strategies for dealing with their problems using evidence-based modalities.Encourage consumers to express their feelings and discuss what is happening in their lives and help them to develop insight into themselves and their relationships.Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge.Modify treatment activities and approaches as needed in order to comply with changes in consumer's status.Learn about new developments in their field by reading professional literature, attending courses and seminars, establishing and maintaining contact with other social service agencies.Counsel family members to assist them in understanding, dealing with and supporting consumers.Evaluate the effectiveness of counseling programs and consumers' progress in resolving identified problems and moving towards defined objectives.Refer patients, consumers or family members to community resources or to specialists as necessary.Meet with families, clinic providers, care managers and other interested parties in order to exchange necessary information during the treatment process.Collaborate with other staff members, primary care practice partners including pediatricians, doctors, nurse practitioners, office staff, and referral sources as assigned to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.Meet productivity standards as indicated by department goals.REQUIREMENTS:1. Master's degree (M.A., M.S.) in Mental Health field2. Licensed or License-eligible with either with LPC/MHSP, LCSW or LMFT in the state of TN.3. Valid Tennessee Driver's License4. Acceptable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)5. Acceptable Criminal Background Investigation6.
