Job Overview The Behavioral Health Clinician is responsible for direct patient care and safety including diagnostic, assessment, treatment, and discharge planning for children, adolescents, and their families in Outpatient, Inpatient or Emergency Department settings. This position could feature any modality of Creative Arts or Expressive Therapy. Requirements include CO licensure & Masters in Creative Arts Therapy (Art, Music, Dance/ Movement, Drama Therapies) or Expressive Arts Therapy. This position provides services to a number of different patient populations within our Pediatric Mental Health Institute and medical units, with flexible scheduling as a member of our Ponzio Creative Arts Therapy Program. Additional Information Department: Ponzio Arts Therapy Program Hours per week: Flex, variable Shift: FLEX availability Qualifications EDUCATION: Master's degree in psychology, social work or related field. Master's degree in Creative Arts Therapy modality (art therapy/dance-movement therapy/ drama therapy/ expressive arts therapy/music therapy/ yoga therapy) preferred EXPERIENCE: 2 years in a mental health setting/agency CERTIFICATION(S): American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer or ASHI Basic Life Support for Health Providers ATR or ATR-BC (Art Therapist Registered- Board Certification) by the AATA Art Therapy Credentials Board; or R-DMT or BC-DMT(Registered or Board Certified Dance Movement Therapist) by the American Dance Therapy Association; or RDT (Registered Drama Therapist) by the North American Drama Therapy Association; or REAT (Registered Expressive Arts Therapist) by the International Expressive Arts Therapy Association; or MT-BC (Music Therapy-Board Certified) by the Certification Board for Music Therapist; or C-IAYT (Certified Yoga Therapist) by the International Association of Yoga Therapists preferred LICENSURE: State of Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical So ial Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Counselor For positions that have been defined and are governed by the Children's Hospital Colorado Medical Staff bylaws, continuation of employment is contingent upon the review and approval of the Colorado Health Care Professionals Credential Application within 3 months of employment. Failure to successfully pass the credentialing process may result in the termination of your employment. Such positions include: Advanced Practice Providers, licensed professional counselors, or Adjunct Medical Staff.
