Join us at RAMC Our Behavioral Health Department is growing Schedule: Monday - Friday Hours: 8AM - 5PM Benefits: Absolutely Position Summary: The Behavioral Health Counselor on - site work position provides an opportunity to collaborate with other medical professionals while working with individuals. The Behavioral Health Counselor will perform assessments, diagnose and work with a variety of populations, while promoting self-determination and empowerment for patients. Job Relationships: Reports to Chief Operating Officer. Primary Customer Served: Pediatric (1 - 12 years) Adolescent (13 - 18 years) Adult (19 - 65 years) Geriatric (> 66 years) Family/Visitors Physicians Community Agencies Education and Training Required: Minimum: Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling. Minimum: Licensed/Certified in the State of Wisconsin (i.e. Licensed Clinical Social Worker - LCSW, Psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor - LPC) Meets health requirements. Maintains professional license. Experience: Preferred one year of experience in Clinical Counseling. Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to handle multiple tasks in calm, effective manner. Knowledge of evidence-based treatments for mental health disorders. The ability to work with a diverse population. Knowledge of different diagnosis of common mental health disorders. Comfortable collaborating with multi-disciplinary team in a medical setting. Knowledge of psychopharmacology for mental health disorders. Physical Requirements: Physical Demands:?Frequently sit and walk;?Occasionally lifting, pushing and pulling up to 10 pounds. ?Occasionally bending, twisting and reaching overhead. ?Fine motor skills.
