Removing Barriers to Healthcare AccessTVSC Telehealth and Visiting Specialist CenterThe Behavioral Health Manager (BHM) supports the Behavioral Health Administrator (BHA) & Behavioral Health Director (BHD) in reaching Open Door Community Health Centers' strategic goals related to patient-centered Behavioral Health (BH) Services, chemical dependency services, and psychiatry program. The BHM is responsible for assisting the BHA/BHD in the development, implementation, and monitoring of BH department operations. The BHM also supports the BHD as needed to enable BH/Psychiatry/Substance Use Disorder (SUD) providers to provide quality patient-centered behavioral health services to ODCHC patients.Compensation Range:$68,640.00-$78,936.00ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssists the BHA/BHD in administrative and operational functions of the BH / Psychiatry programs. This is inclusive of Open Door Community Health Centers Door's chemical dependency services; works to assure consistency and continuity from site to site.Assists the BHA/BHD in implementing, monitoring and reporting on the BH department's annual reporting.Participates in BH / Psychiatry Recruitment to support communications among qualified applicants and HR, from hiring to interviewing processes.Coordinates BH / Psychiatry department performance improvement projects, ensuring necessary workflows, data collection and reporting needs are met.Optimizing Open Door's billable support services per clinic site and specialty BH/Psychiatry/SUD providers, while leveraging health resources and non-billable support staff to the highest level of patient care.Partnering with Finance teams, Executive leads, and Grant managers to maximize health services for all.Operating and analyzing Tableau dashboards and other data collection/reports, such as: Quality Improvement, Business Intelligence, EPIC basic reporting, etc.Leveraging organizational resources, community partnerships, and appropriate funding/contract initiatives to help optimize benefits and streamline access to care support services.Collaborating with Administrative Site Directors, Medical Directors, and external partners/stakeholders to best assist in the integration and delivery of care.Managing department operations and overall administrative responsibilities, such as: Timecards/Payroll, Personnel Action Worksheets/HR, PTO requests/Site Admin-Office MGR, etc.Processing expenditures/check authorizations for staff equipment, office supplies, trainings/conferences travel request, etc.Facilitating and collaborating in the development of annual program plans, strategic goals, in-services, etc.Onboarding new staff and supporting continual learning opportunities.Supporting internal and external communications, via facilitating meetings and presenting best practices.Works with EMR Operations, billing, and other ODCHC departments as needed to develop, implement and monitor BH/psychiatry department's workflows to ensure documentation of patient care, coding, billing and other BHA/BHD operational needs are met.Works with the clinical support and Administrative Site Director to help implement group visits.Monitors BH/SUD/Psychiatry provider schedules to ensure optimal patient access to care and efficient BH provider scheduling.Supports the BHA/BHD and Compliance Officer with BH / Psychiatry departments compliance needs, including but not limited to peer reviews.Arranges BH / Psychiatry departments' site visits and audits with payers upon request.Assists BHA / BHD in communicating with BH department providers to ensure BH policies, procedures, workflows, and other operational topics are understood and followed. Researches and follows up on BH / Psychiatry provider questions as needed.Orders and maintains BH department professional and patient care resources selected by the BHA /BHD.Organizes and tracks BH / Psychiatry provider trainings for BH / Psychiatry staff as needed.Organizes BH / Psychiatry department meetings, including scheduling, agenda development, minutes, and follow up as needed.Other duties and responsibilities as designated by supervisor.QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement principles and tools, e.g., PDSA cycles, brainstorming, cause and effect analysis, root cause analysis, etc.Knowledge of principles and practices of health care policy and planning.Ability to conceptualize and implement planning and quality improvement strategies.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish constructive professional working relationships among a diverse workforce.Ability to work as a member of a team and independently as needed.Sound decision-making skills.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.Strong computer skills with specific aptitude in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Electronic Medical Records (EMR).Ability to analyze policies, programs, and initiatives, and make recommendations for improvement.Ability to multi-task and manage multiple complex duties and projects neatly, accurately, and completely.Ability to effectively represent ODCHC's interests in the community and maintain effective working relationships among coworkers, public, private, and professional groups.Ability to effectively communicate and present information, both verbally and in writing, and respond to questions from groups of clinicians, support staff, clients, and general public.Adheres to ODCHC's policies and procedures.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:Bachelor Degree in health services related field.Minimum 2 years of increasingly responsible experience in health care, including: program evaluation, planning, or quality improvement.SUPERVISORY RESONSIBILITIES:Co-supervise, with the BHD and Health Resources Manager, the Behavioral Health Administrative Assistant.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This is largely an office-based position. The physical requirements described are representative of those needed to successfully perform the essential duties of the position.
