Key Human Services (Key) is one of 5 subsidiary corporations of Keystone Human Services and is governed by a community-based board of directors. Established in 1989, Key expands Keystone's vision of community-based support programs in the State of Connecticut. Key Human Services has an exciting opportunity for a Behavioral Health Professional. The Behavioral Health Professional is responsible to complete comprehensive assessment of individuals supported, functional analyses of behavior, as well as, collection and monitoring of treatment data. This position provides direct clinical oversight and consultation to assigned programs. Position Specific Responsibilities: •Develops, implements, and evaluates behavioral support plans and/or other plans of support. •Promotes the use and application of Person-Centered Planning and Positive Approaches to develop skills. •Assists in development of teaching strategies that will support individuals to develop a sense of independence, responsibility, and autonomy. •Uses effective data collection and monitoring systems for outcome measurement and improved program effectiveness for all individuals supported. •Trains staff in treatment plan implementation and monitors treatment data to ensure clinical effectiveness. •Provides education and training to all employees in relevant clinical topic areas to improve the overall clinical knowledge. •Collaborates with other clinical staff to regularly review methods and strategies to ensure standards are ethical, reflect best practices, and are guided by empirical research. •Participates in inter-agency coordination of services as needed and promotes positive and constructive working relationships between all providers and allied agencies. •Assists in presentation of information to psychiatrists and assists employees to prepare information in a way that promotes correct understanding of current situations and positive partnerships. •Works cooperatively with and establishes professional working relationships with employees, persons in services, and family members. •Maintains broad knowledge of the human services field including licensing regulations, positive behavior change techniques, restrictive procedures, assessment and treatment of challenging behavior or dual diagnosis. Requirements: •A master's degree in Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis or Gerontology. Board certification as a Behavior Analyst or licensure as a Psychologist will serve as evidence of meeting the requirement for the master's degree. •At least one (1) year of postgraduate experience in the behavioral treatment of individuals with intellectual or other developmental disabilities. •Must possess ability to respond effectively in high stress/critical situations. •Ability to communicate both orally and in writing and to be able to read, interpret and apply written information. •Ability to learn and apply intermediate computer skills, including the use of software and other web based systems. •Ability to pass required background checks and clearances. •Valid driver's license and daily access to privately maintained and insured vehicle.
