Recovery Unplugged is a licensed drug and alcohol treatment center with multiple locations throughout the United States. We provide long-term substance abuse and mental health treatment for clients from all over the country. Our innovative approach blends evidence-based treatment with the healing power of music to enhance client outcomes. We are seeking dedicated Behavioral Health Technicians for our Austin, TX facilities.Position Overview: As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting clients with behavioral and emotional issues. You will establish rapport, ensure adherence to house rules, and contribute to the overall safety and well-being of clients in our care.Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish open lines of communication and build rapport with clients experiencing behavioral or emotional challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with house rules and support clients in following these guidelines.
  • Complete all steps of client intakes, including drug testing, searching client belongings, and conducting comprehensive intakes using KIPU.
  • Facilitate the discharge process by returning personal belongings to clients and ensuring discharge paperwork is signed in KIPU.
  • Perform waived drug testing on incoming intakes and conduct random urinalysis on clients as needed.
  • Conduct Q15 safety checks to ensure the well-being of all clients.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring property is well-kept at all times.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in behavioral health or addiction treatment preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with clients.
  • Knowledge of drug testing procedures and behavioral health protocols.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
