Behavioral Health Technician, working in

You will build trust and care with the child and their family in their home setting within 15 minutes from where you reside.Our comprehensivepaid behavioral health trainingwill prepare you to directly impact the developmental growth of the children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and guide you to support your assigned child through their unique development opportunities, including potentially aggressive reactions. Under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.What makes this role unique?

What your day will look like:
- At the child's home, you will adapt teaching techniques to various physical and mental behaviors to provide one-on-one developmental and behavioral support, understanding some patient styles may be more confrontational than others.
- For guided help, you will partner with a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans which may include many physical and mental exercises to provide optimal support to your assigned child.
- You will use you evidence-based techniques to engage actively with children with physical activity which may include standing, walking, sitting, grasping, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, squatting, lifting and at times carrying children or objects that weigh up to 50 pounds.

Experience Required for Your Success- Ahigh school diploma or GEDandat least 18 years of age.
- Minimum of1 year experience working with children ages 0-18 years in adaycare, classroom setting preferred.
- Minimum1 year experience working one-on-one with clients in a behavioral health environment preferred.
- A passion about helping children with autism and making a real difference in their lives.
- Patience and compassion with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test (if you haven't had one in the past year)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
