Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT). As a BHT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our clinical program. Your main responsibilities will include completing assigned tasks, maintaining customer satisfaction, addressing client concerns, and upholding safety and compliance standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the clinical building, providing transportation as needed, supervising client activities, and assisting in training BHT staff.
Licensure/Certification:
- CPR and Standard First Aid certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the day-to-day operations of the clinical program, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
- Complete daily assignments as directed, fulfilling responsibilities as a Behavioral Health Technician.
- Communicate and document all client concerns promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor to ensure customer satisfaction and positive interactions with clients.
- Ensure that immediate client needs are met and provide redirection when necessary, always treating clients with respect.
- Report any adverse client behaviors and concerns promptly to the appropriate parties.
- Collaborate with all departments to ensure optimal client care and safety.
- Maintain the clinical building in accordance with Joint Commission, BSAS standards, and company operational systems, including regular cleaning and upkeep.
- Alert the Lead BHT and Program Director of any unsafe or repair needs in the clinical building and document them in shift reports.
- Provide transportation to clients following the Transportation Policy.
- Supervise client activities and conduct rounds as required, documenting relevant information.
- Perform and observe Urine Drug Screens as necessary.
- Stay awake during assigned shifts to maintain client safety and respond to any emergencies.
- Adhere to state, federal, Joint Commission, and BSAS standards and regulations at all times.
- Communicate client emergent situations in a calm and organized manner to the appropriate parties.
- Follow client schedules as defined, ensuring clients are present and punctual.
- Assist with laundry and perform small house cleaning duties.
- Aid in training BHT staff, sharing knowledge and providing guidance.
- Facilitate client groups under the direction of the Executive Director and Clinical Director.
