What will your days look and feel like at TBE?

  • Conducts highly engaging and effective 1-on-1 and group ABA therapy sessions with our clients in an early intervention center based setting.
  • Follows and implements Behavior Intervention Plans and Individualized Treatment plans under supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) to ensure that each child reaches their goals.
  • Creates a fun, safe, and engaging environment for each client where safety is the #1 priority!
  • Completes all data collection and daily logs including objective and constructive notes.
  • Engages in parent observations or trainings as requested by BCBA or leadership.
  • Participates in and completes training for professional development purposes and to satisfy clinical requirements.
  • Models, trains, and coaches newly hired behavior therapists as requested.
  • Collaborates with a passionate team of coworkers and leadership to cultivate a culture of expertise, caring, and fun in our centers.

Relevant experience:

  • Childcare experience: Paraprofessional, teacher, coach, teaching assistant, camp counselor, nanny, babysitter, or other related experience.
  • Experience working with or volunteering for individuals with Special Needs.
  • Passionate about working with children with Autism and bringing meaningful change into the lives of children and their families.
  • Experience in a fast paced team oriented environment.
  • Steadfast work ethic and reliability to ensure high quality and consistent care.
  • Relevant personal/ professional experience teaching, coaching, mentoring, or supervising children to help them develop, grow, and learn new skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working with children who have autism spectrum disorders, behavioral developmental concerns, or other special needs.
  • Experience in a behavioral therapy organization, childcare, or in similar roles such as nanny, mental health tech, babysitter, paraprofessional, etc.
  • Experience in ABA or a related field such as Special Education or Teaching, Occupational Therapy, Music Therapy, Behavioral Health, etc.
  • Relevant coursework in Special Education, Psychology, Early Childhood Development, Education, Human Development and other related coursework.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in ABA or a related field.

Physical demands and other expectations.

  • Engage in both standing and sitting activities comfortably for extended periods.
  • Providing an active, fun, and engaging session for your clients.
  • Frequent standing, walking, running, sitting, using hands to type, handle objects, tools or controls; reaching with hands and arms, climb stairs, talk or hear, push/pull, stoop, bend/twist, lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Implement behavior management strategies including addressing physically challenging behaviors, while ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients and yourself.
  • Foster meaningful and professional relationships through continuous communication, active listening, and professional interactions with clients, colleagues, and others in the workplace to ensure a fun & therapeutic environment.
  • There may be times where assistance is needed in a nearby center at which time team members are expected to report to that center as requested in line with TBE's core value of teamwork.
