Role Summary: As a Behavioral Health Technician in our residential inpatient program, you will be responsible for providing direct care and support to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and assist them in their recovery journey. Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Location Retreat at Lancaster County Position Requirements Key Responsibilities: Direct Patient Care: Provide compassionate and patient-centered care, assisting individuals in their daily living activities and therapeutic interventions. Observation and Monitoring: Continuously monitor and observe patients' behaviors and report any concerns to the clinical team. Crisis Intervention: Respond to and assist with crisis situations, employing de-escalation techniques when necessary. Patient Support: Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, eating, and medication administration. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including progress notes and incident reports. Patient Engagement: Engage patients in therapeutic activities and support their participation in treatment plans. Collaboration: Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and other staff to ensure coordinated care and effective treatment interventions. Safety: Ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, adhering to all safety protocols and policies. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. At least 6 months of caregiving experience, preferably in a healthcare or behavioral health setting. Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification is preferred but not mandatory. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Empathy, patience, and a commitment to patient-centric care. Ability to handle crisis situations with composure and follow protocols. Basic knowledge of behavioral health and an understanding of patient confidentiality.
