Hiring Incentives: 5% increase at 12 month anniversary and 5% upon initial credentialing (i.e. Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CADC/CAC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or comparable credential; DCS offers internal clinical supervision and continuing education credits to pursue certification through the Alcohol & Drug Certification Board of GA (ADACBGA) and free CEUs for credentialed staff.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
? Act as client advocate in order to coordinate required services or to resolve emergency problems in crisis situations
? Collect information about clients through interviews, observation, and tests
? Counsel clients in individual and group sessions to help them overcome dependencies, recover from illness, and adjust to life
? Develop and implement treatment plans based on clinical experience and knowledge
? Evaluate clients' physical or mental condition based on review of client information
? Maintain confidentiality of records relating to client's treatment
? Monitor, evaluate, and record client progress according to measurable goals described in treatment and care plan
? Prepare and maintain all required treatment records and reports
Preferred Qualifications:
Completion of an undergraduate degree in a related field and one year of experience providing individual and/or group counseling services for a caseload of clients who have been identified to have a substance abuse need.

Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university OR certification as an addiction counselor from the Georgia Addiction Counselors Association (GACA) or equivalent certification.
